10 Must Have Plugins For WordPress You Probably Missed Out
Every website needs a contact form. It allows your users to contact you directly.
Since WordPress doesn’t come with a built-in contact form, you will need a WordPress form builder plugin to add a contact form on your site.
I recommend using the WPForms Lite plugin. It is free version of the popular WPForms plugin, which is one of the best contact form plugins for WordPress.
An SEO plugin is absolutely a must have for your WordPress site.
I believe, Yoast SEO is the most comprehensive SEO solution out their.
WordPress is extremely well-created and structured, which is why many call it SEO friendly. But the real SEO benefit from most sites comes from the Yoast SEO plugin.
Unlike most other plugins, this plugin is way more than simple meta tag additions.
Yoast SEO allows you to add a title, description, and focus keyword to to every blog post and page. It also shows you a Google search result snippet preview, so you can see exactly how your content will look when someone search for it in Google.
However, make sure you’re applying these best practices for WordPress SEO.

What about website security?
Thankfully, everything about your website’s security is covered by Wordfence.
It is the most downloaded security plugin for WordPress websites. Wordfence includes an endpoint firewall and malware scanner that were built from the ground up to protect WordPress.
Wordfence has tons of features. These include file integrity monitoring, brute force protection, traffic monitoring, etc.
Essentially, it is an auditing and monitoring system that keeps track of everything that happens on your website.

You need to know exactly who are visiting your website, where are they from, which device are they using and etc.
Knowing who your visitors are, and how they find and use your website, will help you improve your strategies.
Fortunately, this can easily be done using a free tool called Google Analytics.
And I believe, MonsterInsights is the best and most popular Google Analytics plugin for WordPress.
It makes it easier for you to connect your WordPress site with Google Analytics, so you can immediately start making data-driven decisions to grow your business.
You don’t need to sign in to your Google Analytics account every time you need to view your website’s traffic. With MonsterInsights, all reports are in your WordPress dashboard!
Backups are your first defense against any WordPress attack.
There are many free and paid WordPress backup plugins you can use.
But the most important thing you need to know when it comes to backups is that you must regularly save full-site backups to a remote location—not your hosting account.
By doing that, you are not putting all of your eggs in one basket.
If your server’s hardware fails or worse you get hacked, then you don’t have a backup which defeats the purpose of setting up regular backups.
This is why I highly recommend storing your backups on a third-party storage service like Dropbox, Amazon S3, Google Drive, etc.
For backups, I suggest UpdraftPlus . They have the ability to store your backups to a third-party storage. You can also schedule when to backup your site.
But, the best thing? You can do all of these without purchasing the premium version!
Comments can be a strong indication of user engagement on your website. Engaged users means more links back to your site, more traffic, and improved SEO.
However, you need to make sure that your comments are real and not spam.
Spammers submit comments with bad links which could affect and even ruin your search rankings.
This is why we recommend everyone to start using Akismet. It is one of the plugins that come pre-installed with every WordPress site, and it helps you combat comment spam.
Akismet is a must have plugin for WordPress.
Email is still the most effective way of communicating to your audience.
You must have at least an email service provider if you’re going to step up your game.
I believe that AWeber is the one of the best email services out there. It is also the most affiliate friendly.
With AWeber, you can easily create automated email sequences with its drag and drop editor. They also have an exceptional system that lets you track email performances with analytics, based on open rates, click-throughs and many more.
Manage your subscribers easily with AWeber. You can send targeted emails to subscribers based on information like personal preferences, geographical location or actions they’ve taken with previous emails.
Moreover, email marketing is a very powerful method for getting sales.
I already talked about this a lot. Every successful internet marketer would tell you to start building your email list right away.
So, if you want to increase your sales in an exponential level, learn email marketing.
You can try AWeber for 30 days, and get all the tools your need to succeed.
Now, how can you actually send automated emails when you don’t have a list in the first place?
Building an email list requires you to place the email sign up forms at the right places and at the right time.
That’s where I use Thrive Leads.

In terms of SEO, each time you link to any page whether its on your own site or an external site, you are transferring SEO points to that page known as link juice.
Link juice is one of the basis of your search engine rank.
If you write a post that has external links to other sites, you probably don’t want to transfer these SEO points.
Rel NoFollow Checkbox solves this problem by adding a nofollow checkbox in the insert link section.
No-follow attribute instruct search engines to not transfer any link juice from your site to the receiving site.
But be careful though! Don’t make all your outbound links a nofollow!
Google will know that you’re preserving all the link juices and will penalize you for that. I recommend you to follow the links that you really trust and you found valuable.
It is very important that you know how search engines see your website.
You can do that using Google Search Console. This tool is offered by Google to give publishers a look at how their website is seen by the search engine.
It provides reports and data that can help you understand how different pages on your website are appearing in search results. It shows you the search queries where a page from your website appears in the results and how often it is clicked.
You can also see how often your site is crawled, how your pages are indexed, and which keywords are performing best on your site.
This data can help you improve your older articles, write new content, and formulate a content strategy for your website.
If you’re serious in getting more organic traffic, then Google search console is definitely a must have tool for your WordPress site.
